What should Public Law do about Artificial Intelligence?

Artificial intelligence (AI) and automated systems are being increasingly deployed in the public sector across a range of policy areas to aid decision-making. Public Law Wales are very pleased to host this lecture delivered by Professor Joe Tomlinson of King’s College London. Professor Tomlinson explores how public law applies to the use of AI and automation, problems of principle and practice within the current approach, and possible reforms that could create a better environment for AI innovation to promote justice as well as efficiency.
